NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hundred Foot Bank, Sutton and Hundred Foot Bank, Haddenham as lies between Hundred Foot Bank, Haddenham and Chain Causeway, Sutton or A1123 and Hundred Foot Bank, Sutton respectively.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123; A1421; A142; B1381 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing, coring investigations and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway.
It is anticipated that these works will take place between 1 August and 21 August 2026, when the restriction is expected to be in operation.
The Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months from the date it comes into effect to permit the works and any associated contingencies including delays or phased delivery of the works.
The Order shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
