NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF PARISH COUNCILLOR
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has arisen on the above council caused by the resignation of Councillor Ruth Brown.
1) An election to fill the vacancy will be held if, within 14 days (computed in accordance with the Regulations) from the date of this notice, ten electors for the Parish give notice in writing requesting that an election be held.
2) Such notice must be delivered to the Returning Officer at East Cambs District Council, The Grange, Nutholt Lane, Ely, Cambs. CB7 4EE to arrive no later than Thursday 17th September 2026.
3) If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
