Soham set for Youth Fusion event

Soham recreation ground and Scout Hut is the place to be for young people on Wednesday 26 July.

Anyone aged 18 or under is invited to attend the free Youth Fusion event taking place between 11am and 3pm.

This interactive wellbeing event is an opportunity to find out what is going on for young people and the things that matter to you.

As well as fun activities such as climbing wall, Korfeball and a bouncy castle, there will also be the chance to find out more about the clubs and organisations operating in East Cambridgeshire.

So whether you want to join a sports club or find out more about climate change, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone.

A bike mechanic will also be available to offer advice on bike maintenance and carry out basic repairs on the day free of charge, and the police will be offering bike security marking.

The events are being supported by a diverse range of organisations including East Cambridgeshire District Council, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, East Cambridgeshire Community Safety Partnership, Living Sport and EMC bicycle repairs.

Rhianna Regan, a youth ambassador for East Cambridgeshire Youth Council, said: “Whether you want to just have an enjoyable free day out with friends, or find out more about the support and services that are available – or both, it’s guaranteed there will be something for everyone on the day.”

Attendees are advised to take their own water bottles for refills on the day.

Youth Fusion days will also be held at:

·         Bottisham Sports Centre, Wednesday 9 August 2023

·         Littleport Youth and Community Centre, Wednesday 23 August 2023

You can find out more about the Youth Fusion Days, together with lots of handy hints and tips for young people on the youth pages on East Cambridgeshire District Council’s website.
