HATE CRIME REPORTING CENTRE.

The Office of Sutton Parish Council has been established as a Hate Crime Reporting Centre working in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary to make Cambridgeshire a safer place by providing a co-ordinated response to hate crime.

Rosie, the Parish Clerk has undertaken training to enable effective reporting of hate crime and incidents, this may be to other agencies other than the Police. 

Hate Crime is any criminal offence which is perceived by any person to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards a person’s race/ethnicity, religion/belief, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or any other actual or perceived difference.

Hate Incidents are incidents that do not constitute a criminal offence which is perceived by any person to me motivated by hostility or prejudice towards a person’s race/ethnicity, religion/belief, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or any other actual or perceived difference.

The Parish Council office is a non-judgemental, supportive and confidential environment in which information can be shared, information can be given for additional support and reporting.
